📕 Learnings

02

Communicate design solutions effectively

I learned to develop a structured approach to the design process and to create successful design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.

a. Advocating for My Design Process
To create effective designs, my UX design process involves 4 phases, including: understanding, immersion, assimilation, and iterative validation. However, the business may not always understand the value of this process. As a UX designer, it's important to communicate the importance of my design process and advocate for it to ensure that the final product meets the needs of the users

b. Understanding Stakeholders and the Product
Before starting any design work, it's crucial to spend considerable time with stakeholders to understand the product and business goals. However, designers may face challenges with stakeholders who are not willing to invest time in the discovery phase and want to rush into design elaboration. It's important to educate stakeholders on the benefits of a thorough discovery phase to ensure that the final product meets user needs and achieves the desired business outcomes.

Work in a Collaborative Team Environment

Developed my communication and collaboration skills and work effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds to create successful designs.

Conduct User Research

I learned how to gain insights into user needs and behaviors and how to use that data to inform the design process and create successful, user-centered design solutions.
